Network equipment is tightly secured to hinder tampering at e-Pragati. This includes all active network devices and all network management facilities are placed in well secured areas. Access to active network devices and management facilities is only given upon authorization and authentication.

The Data Security framework which is established in e-Pragati focuses on building a strong foundation by having underlying data security controls and processes. Access management is the coordination between people, process and technology which provides the right people access to the right IT services.

At e-PragatiAccess management consists of five primary activities :

a. Requesting access

At e-Pragati we assess and scrutinizes the access requirements and the level of access including the organizational appropriateness of the access request.

b. Approving access requests

All access requests are being approved automatically with different approval levels.

c. Provisioning access

Provisioning access automatically at the appropriate level.

d. Revoking access

Access is revoked when the associated identity no longer requires that access to perform their role with in e-Pragati.

e. Governing access

Access reviews are conducted every month, appropriate to the criticality of the system and the classification of the information within the system

The information security policy, and hence this IT-Security policy as part of it, applies to all parties operating within the e-Pragati network environment or utilizing information assets and resources. No employee is exempt from this policy. Any person, subject to this policy, who fails to comply with the provisions as set out above or any amendment thereto, shall be subjected to appropriate disciplinary or legal action in accordance with the e-Pragati disciplinary procedures.
